Updates

Updates arrive in the panel and install with one click.

How updates reach your server

  • The panel checks for a new version on sign-in, every hour and at least every 10 minutes while root has it open.
  • A new version appears in the notification bell with an Update button. Only root can update.
  • The panel downloads the release, restarts and opens again in a few seconds.

Protection of releases

  • Every release is signed with Ed25519. The panel and the installer accept signed releases only.
  • A panel does not accept a version older than the one it has already seen, so a release cannot be silently rolled back.

If an update fails

  • The previous version is kept on the server. If the new one does not start or fails its checks, the panel returns to the previous version by itself, in about 25 seconds.
  • After that, the panel keeps watching the service for another 90 seconds.

Update channel

  • There is one update channel at the moment: every panel receives the same release. See the list of changes on the Releases page.
